If I could keep time in a bottle…

…..I would still be sitting here wondering where it keeps going every day. My To Do List gets longer every single day and I fear that the Completed Checklist is looking a bit anemic.

<sigh>

Yesterday evening, being one of the few free ones that I had this week, I had grandiose plans of getting tax information squared away, cleaning up some of the house, putting together a fabulous entry for the site….and I basically went to Target and bought stuff. I mean toothpaste, shampoo, a new shirt that was on sale, earth-shatteringly important stuff!

<double-sigh>

Soo….I have 2 weeks left at my current contract, and no word as of yet if a new one is pending. I try not to worry about such things…but paying my mortgage delivering pizzas does not seem likely.

<mega-sigh>

On the plus side, Pattern Recognition is in-crucking-fedible. I am leary of posting much on it, as I am only 100 or so pages into it, but lo, it is good.

    Good Lord! I am really, really, ready to reach out and strangle someone!!

    Umm, oh, err, Hi there! Sorry about that little emotional outburst, but I fear that my frits are wayed. Yeah……did I mention that I hate people? When I say people I don’t mean all people, I mean those people. You know……PEOPLE!!

    I’m even willing to give all those Minnesota drivers out there a break, (Editors Note: Notice, I did NOT use the word brake. We do not condone those types of puns here.) and just concentrate on the people at hand. Specifically, every single employee of the City of Minneapolis.

    Can you believe it’s March already? (I realize it’s not ’till tomorrow…just go with me) I mean, if it’s March, that means that SuperAmerica is going to have Shamrock cookies! And if SA has Shamrock cookies, then it’s almost St. Patricks Day. And if SA has Shamrock cookies and it’s almost St. Patricks Day then it’s almost my Birthday! And if blah blah blah I’m ALMOST TWENTY-SEVEN!

    Monday the 13th!!!

    I’ll bet there were much less publicized killings at some remote summer camp on Monday the 13th too…but, you know, same-old-same-old….

    So! Notice anything different? Yes! I did get a hair cut! Does it look ok? I was a little concerned about the length…..

    Part of me now wants to see if I can fill an entire entry without finishing a single thought….Oh, allright. Take off your shoes and set a spell. Just let it all sink in. This revamp has been in the works for like a week now! I’m working a contract for the city of Minneapolis as a HelpDesk Representative, and I just can’t tell you how much fun I’m having. Because if I did, I’d have to kill you. However, that is part of the reason this update has been taking me so long! I can’t load ANY software on my computer at work. So I can’t do any image editing….ARGH!

    Well, that’s not important right now. Please note the links on the right hand side of the page. Not all of these will be here for each entry, and there are some you haven’t seen yet. Right now I filled up as much as I could. I would like to point out that the Literature link will have my own works in them. At least, that is the plan. I also hope to have some kind of picture to go with each entry. The inspiration for this addition to my ramblings is a.lifeuncommon.org. I intend to infuse things here with more of my artistic endaeavors, partly to keep myself active, and partly to justify making complete strangers listen to my incessant babbling.

    Vodka Promises

    I was watching Craiggers the other night, and he said that he doesn’t make Resolutions…he prefers…vodka promises. One of these was, of course, to drink more vodka. And I have to say that I admire the ability he has to set attainable goals.

    Speaking-of-which, (Travis should appreciate that…) I hope that those of you tuning in will appreciate that things do change around here, and usually for the better. Maybe not as fast as lightning, (and certainly NOT like lightning…with smaller lightnings moving alongside of it….going much faster….) but improvements, like….<drumroll>…the backBlog!!! You know, where after each post I make you can add snide little comments about how I blog like a girl…or something…(flaming was never one of my strong suits…)

    OK, so maybe you aren’t as excited about it as I per se, HOWEVER…it will be cool…all the kids are doing it these days….
